Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, vehemently condemned the occupation's heinous act of setting fire to Kamal Adwan Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip following its storming, which resulted in the tragic martyrdom of several medical personnel.

Aboul Gheit welcomes overwhelming UN vote to refer UNRWA ban to the International Court of Justice

​Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, welcomed the United Nations General Assembly's vote in which 137 countries supported a resolution calling upon the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to issue a legal opinion regarding Israel's accusations against the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) and the occupation authorities' decisions to prohibit its operations in the occupied territories.

Aboul Gheit receives French Senate delegation

​Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, received a delegation from the Foreign Affairs and Defence Committee of the French Senate at the headquarters of the General Secretariat on 17 December. The delegation was headed by Mr. François Panot, a member of the Council, as part of their official visit to Cairo.
