Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, presided over the closing ceremony held on 5 December at the League’s headquarters, marking the conclusion of a specialised training course conducted by the General Secretariat for a group of second-tier diplomats from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait. During the ceremony, the Secretary-General presented certificates of participation to the diplomats, recognising their engagement in the programme, which spanned 1–5 December.
The course encompassed a wide array of topics, including the founding and historical evolution of the League, its relationship with the State of Kuwait, and its pivotal role in advancing joint Arab action. Additionally, the curriculum highlighted the League’s multifaceted activities across political, social, and economic domains, reflecting the comprehensive efforts of its various departments.
Minister Plenipotentiary Gamal Roshdy, the official spokesperson for the Secretary-General, noted that Mr. Aboul Gheit reviewed the outcomes of the training programme and commended the exemplary caliber and discipline exhibited by the Kuwaiti diplomats throughout the course.
The ceremony was attended by Ambassador Talal Al-Mutairi, Permanent Representative of the State of Kuwait to the League of Arab States, and Ambassador Mohammed Al-Ajeri, Assistant Secretary-General and head of the Administrative and Financial Affairs Sector.
