Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab
States, and Ms. Dina Al-Yahya, Secretary-General of the Digital
Cooperation Organisation, formalised a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)
between the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States and the
Digital Cooperation Organisation on 23 September. The signing took place
on the sidelines of the high-level segment of the 79th session of the
United Nations General Assembly in New York.
Gamal Roshdy, the spokesman for the Secretary-General, stated that
the ceremony, held at the headquarters of the League of Arab States'
mission in New York, witnessed Mr. Aboul Gheit stressing the increasing
significance the League places on cooperation in the field of digital
transformation. He expressed hope that this MoU will be effectively
implemented to advance the mutual interests of both organisations and
their member states, fostering enhanced collaboration in the rapidly
evolving digital domain.
