Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab
States, vehemently condemned the criminal attack that targeted a hotel

for which the terrorist group Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility.
The spokesman for the Secretary-General stated that Mr. Aboul Gheit
denounced the cowardly terrorist act, which resulted in dozens of
victims and injuries, and through which terrorist groups aim to weaken
the federal government and spread terror among civilians.
Mr. Aboul Gheit expressed his sincere condolences to the government
and people of Somalia and to the families of the victims, wishing the
injured a speedy recovery. He stressed the League of Arab States'
solidarity with the Federal Republic of Somalia, its government, and its
