Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, received Dr. Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Egyptians Abroad of the Arab Republic of Egypt, at the General Secretariat headquarters in Cairo on 23 July. He congratulated Dr. Abdelatty on assuming his new post and wished him success.
Gamal Roshdy, spokesman for the Secretary-General, stated that the meeting included an exchange of views on significant Arab issues, particularly the Palestinian cause and the prospects for joint Arab action amidst the current regional challenges.
