The General Secretariat of the League of Arab States vehemently
condemned the criminal attack on a crowded coffeehouse in Mogadishu,
Somalia, on 14 July which resulted in numerous casualties and injuries.
The Secretariat denounced this cowardly act aimed at destabilising the
federal government and instilling fear in civilians.
The General Secretariat expressed its heartfelt condolences to the
government and people of Somalia and to the families of the victims of
this terrorist act, and wished the injured a speedy recovery. The League
of Arab States reaffirmed its unwavering solidarity with the government
and people of the Federal Republic of Somalia in combating threats to
their security and stability, and in supporting the progress made by the
Somali government in fighting terrorism and restoring security.
