Responding to a gracious invitation from the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States to the head of the Presidential Council, Speaker of the House of Representatives, and President of the Supreme Council of State, the participants, under the League of Arab States' auspices, focused on bridging viewpoints and resolving contentious issues related to realising presidential and parliamentary elections.
The agreed-upon points include:
1. Emphasising Libya's sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity, while rejecting any adverse external interference in the Libyan political process.
2. Establishing a technical committee within a specified timeframe, based on the reference of the political agreement and its annexes. The committee will consider appropriate amendments to broaden consensus and accept the work of the (6+6) committee, resolving outstanding issues on controversial points in accordance with existing legislation.
3. Forming a unified government tasked with overseeing the electoral process and providing necessary services to citizens.
4. Unifying sovereign positions to activate their assigned roles at the Libyan state level.
5. Calling on the United Nations Support Mission in Libya and the international community to support this consensus for successful implementation.
6. Agreeing to hold a second round urgently to finalise this agreement and put it into effect.
7. Acknowledging and appreciating the League of Arab States' role in facilitating consensus for the completion of the electoral process in Libya.
