Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League
of Arab States, vehemently condemned the Israeli occupation's bombing of
the Qatari Committee for the Reconstruction of Gaza headquarters. He
described this action as a war crime, further contributing to the list
of Israeli offences in the ruthless war waged against the Strip and its
civilian population.
Gamal
Roshdy, spokesperson for the Secretary-General, said Mr. Aboul Gheit
stressed that such crimes against civilians and their facilities must
not go unpunished. Targeting an organisation dedicated to rebuilding
what remains after the devastation caused by the occupation exposes the
barbarism of Israel and its disregard for the most fundamental
principles of conscience, morality, and international humanitarian law,
which explicitly prohibits the targeting of civilian facilities during
times of war.
