Mr. Aboul Gheit also acknowledged Slovenia's recent positive positions on some Arab matters.
The spokesman noted that the Slovenian minister inquired about the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories. Mr. Aboul Gheit expressed deep concern about the deteriorating conditions of Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza, ongoing rights violations, and unprecedented repression campaigns. He particularly emphasised the challenges posed by the right-wing Israeli government.
The Secretary-General highlighted the importance of enhancing coordination and consultation with the Arab side on shared interests during the meeting. Additionally, they discussed various topics, including the Libyan crisis, the situation in Sudan, and developments in Syria and Yemen, the spokesman added.
