The Secretary-General of the League of Arab States Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit received Mr. Ammar Al-Hakim, the leader of the Iraqi Wisdom Movement, during his visit to the esteemed Arab Republic of Egypt on 29 May. The focal point of their meeting was to deliberate on the most significant advancements taking place in Iraq.
The official spokesman for the Secretary-General Gamal Roshdy said that during the meeting, Mr. Aboul Gheit reiterated the unwavering commitment of the League of Arab States to persist in supporting Iraq and all its institutions, as part of its unflagging endeavours to secure stability and accelerate economic progress. He also laudably commended the remarkable strides made by Iraq in achieving stability and progress at various levels.
