It is a great honour to stand here today at this prominent academic institution, Fudan University, one of the oldest and most prestigious centres of higher education in China and a leading hub of scientific research and innovation worldwide. The university has distinguished itself through its pioneering role in cultivating scientific and intellectual talent and promoting international cooperation in higher education and research.
I am privileged to witness this historic moment as I am awarded an honorary doctorate from Fudan University. I regard this honour not only as a personal distinction but also as recognition of the values embodied by the League of Arab States—the House of Arabs—including our commitment to joint action. The League serves as a bridge for cultural and human communication between our peoples, advancing the causes of the Arab nation and fostering cooperation with countries around the world.
This honour is a testament to the friendship and mutual respect between the Arab world and China, and it sends a message of hope: that our bridges will remain open, our dialogues ongoing, and our cooperation fruitful, benefiting both the Arab and Chinese worlds.
Amidst this distinguished gathering and in this vibrant city of Shanghai, I am filled with profound gratitude and inspired to redouble my efforts to strengthen our cultural and scientific ties for a brighter future.
