The 20th Session of the Senior Officials' Meeting of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum and the 9th Session of the Strategic Political Dialogue were convened under the joint chairmanship of Mr. Omar Kadri, Director of Asian and Oceanian Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Abroad of the Kingdom of Morocco; Mr. Chen Weiqing, Director-General of the Department of West Asia and North Africa at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China; and His Excellency Ambassador Khalid bin Mohammed Manzalawi, Assistant Secretary-General for International Political Affairs at the League of Arab States. The sessions also witnessed the participation of representatives from Arab states and various ministries and agencies concerned with the Forum on the Chinese side.
The agenda of the 20th Senior Officials' Meeting focused on reviewing the progress made under the Executive Programme for the years 2024–2026, highlighting key achievements and areas of ongoing collaboration. Meanwhile, the 9th Strategic Political Dialogue addressed a range of pressing regional and international developments, with a focus on issues of mutual interest and concern to both sides.
The meeting concluded with the adoption of a set of recommendations that affirmed the shared political positions of the Arab and Chinese sides on regional and global matters. The outcomes also assetted the two parties' commitment to strengthening cooperation mechanisms in the economic, social, and cultural domains within the framework of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum. Preparatory discussions were also held in anticipation of upcoming events under the Forum's umbrella, most notably the Second China-Arab Summit, scheduled to take place in 2026 in the People's Republic of China.
