Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, received Mr. Jibril Rajoub, Secretary-General of the Central Committee of the Fatah Movement, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat.
Gamal Roshdy, the official spokesman for the Secretary-General, stated that the meeting centred on the latest developments concerning the Palestinian situation, particularly in light of the grave challenges facing the Palestinian cause at this critical juncture. Discussions also focused on efforts to overcome internal divisions and bolster Palestinian unity, recognising the imperative of a unified national front in confronting the current threats and advancing the legitimate aspirations of the Palestinian people.
