Your Excellency Dr. Alaa El-Ghoneimi,
Chairman of the Advisory Board
Your Excellency Dr. Mohamed Hesham Abdel Moneim,

Your Excellencies, Deans, and Distinguished Professors,
It is a great honour for me to represent His Excellency Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, at the inaugural meeting of the Advisory Board of the Faculty of Medicine, El Alamein Branch, affiliated with the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, in this picturesque city.
On this occasion, I extend my heartfelt commendation, on behalf of the League of Arab States, to this prestigious academy for its distinguished achievements across various fields of knowledge and specialisations, particularly in the field of human medicine. I applaud its dedication to adopting modern approaches to training and clinical education, ensuring that students are equipped with cutting-edge tools and technologies, including applications of artificial intelligence.
We all take pride in the academy's remarkable ranking at the national and Arab levels, which underscores its noble mission of shaping the future of our youth, fostering their spirit of innovation, and enabling them to master scientific and technological tools. This is achieved within a forward-looking academic framework that is well-integrated into its socio-economic environment and aligned with comprehensive development objectives.
I would like to highlight the academy's exceptional training programs and its robust partnerships with similar institutions, both within the Arab Republic of Egypt and on regional and international levels. These collaborations promote academic exchange and the organisation of joint scientific events. I am confident that artificial intelligence remains central to these promising initiatives due to its growing importance in healthcare, particularly in accurate and early diagnosis, enhancing efficiency levels, and facilitating remote medical monitoring. At the same time, I reaffirm the vital role of the human mind's creative professional capabilities and the imperative of upholding the ethics and humanisation of the doctor-patient relationship.
This advanced health system offers humanity immense hope through innovative methods and technologies that revolutionise healthcare, improve hospital services, and integrate the health sector into broader human development efforts. Such progress not only enhances living standards but also helps prevent diseases and epidemics. It is worth recalling with profound gratitude the immense sacrifices made by medical and paramedical teams who selflessly and tirelessly faced the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In conclusion, I wish this meeting every success, hopeful that it will serve as a platform for evaluating the accomplishments thus far and exploring avenues to enrich the strategic plan of the faculty. I trust this will contribute to even greater achievements, mirroring the outstanding performance of the other faculties within this esteemed institution. Thanks to its visionary leadership and dedicated academic community, this academy stands as a model of academic excellence in the Arab world.
May the peace, mercy, and blessings of God be upon you.
