  • General Secretariat organises training programme on protocol and ceremonial procedures for Yemeni Foreign Ministry employees
    Date: 19/01/2025

At the request of the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Yemen, the Administrative and Financial Affairs Sector, through the Training and Work Methods Development Department, is organising a training programme on protocol and ceremonial procedures for employees of the Yemeni Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The programme is taking place from 19 to 21 January at the General Secretariat's headquarters, with participation both in person and via videoconferencing.

The programme is inaugurated by His Excellency Ambassador Mohamed Saleh Al-Ajairi, Assistant Secretary-General and head of the Administrative and Financial Affairs Sector, alongside His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Ali Saleh Moussa, Acting Permanent Representative of the Republic of Yemen to the League of Arab States. Both underscore the significance of intensifying such training initiatives and the need to sustain efforts to provide courses targeting Yemeni and Arab professionals in various fields of diplomacy. The programmes aim to equip diplomatic personnel with the essential skills required for effective representation in international and regional forums.

The training programme features several specialised lectures, including an introduction to the principles of protocol and ceremonial procedures, the guidelines for diplomatic conduct, and best practices for organising meetings, venue arrangements, and seating protocols for states and participants. The sessions are led by Ambassador Hatem Taj El-Din, former Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Protocol Affairs at the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
