    Date: 13/10/2024

The Administrative and Financial Affairs Sector (Training and Work Methods Development Department) organised an introductory training programme on the activities of the League of Arab States’ sectors for a delegation of Iraqi diplomats, held from 13-15 October, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat.

His Excellency Ambassador Mohammed Saleh Al-Ajeri, Assistant Secretary-General and head of the Administrative and Financial Affairs Sector, along with Minister Plenipotentiary Dr. Muhannad Mohsen Al-Shahmani from the Permanent Delegation of the Republic of Iraq to the League of Arab States, presided over the opening session. Ambassador Al-Ajeri underscored the significance of enhancing such training initiatives and emphasised the need for continued introductory courses targeting Arab youth, particularly diplomats, across Arab countries. These programmes aim to raise awareness about the League of Arab States, its functions, operational mechanisms, and decision-making processes, as well as to provide insights into its stances on regional and international matters.
The training programme features several foundational lectures on the League of Arab States, covering its establishment, work mechanisms, and a comprehensive overview of its contributions to Arab economic, social, and national security affairs. The programme also highlights the League's efforts in addressing issues related to refugees and migration.
