  • Jury for Arab Housing and Construction Ministers Council Award convenes
    Date: 27/08/2024

The jury for the Arab Housing and Construction Ministers Council Award, under the title "Implemented Housing Project: Arab Housing with Identity," is set to convene at the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States from 26 to 28 August.

The award recognises the most exemplary integrated housing project that aligns with the award's objectives and has been successfully implemented in one of the Arab countries. The award's purpose is to foster a spirit of competition and creativity among Arab architects, engineers, and technicians by encouraging them to draw practical solutions from their rich architectural and engineering heritage, both in the Arab-Islamic tradition and in a broader cultural context. It aims to inspire the younger Arab generations to explore and embrace the principles of Arab-Islamic architecture, encouraging innovation and development rooted in the vocabulary of heritage while skillfully integrating modern technologies to harmonise with the architectural foundations of Arab-Islamic cities.
The announcement of the winners will take place during the meeting of the Executive Office of the Arab Housing and Construction Ministers Council, scheduled for October.
