His Excellency Ambassador Mohannad Saleh Lajouzi, Assistant Secretary-General of the League of Arab States and Director-General of the Arab Fund for Technical Assistance to African Countries, met on 21 July with His Excellency Dr. Nasser Ali Al-Hattlan Al-Qahtani, Director-General of the Arab Administrative Development Organisation.
During the meeting, the Director-General of the Fund lauded the role played by the Arab Administrative Development Organisation in the Arab region. He also took the opportunity to present an overview of the Arab Fund for Technical Assistance to African Countries' activities in various fields such as health, agriculture, and diplomacy, which support joint Arab-African cooperation.
His Excellency also reviewed the results of the Fund’s Board of Directors meeting held on 4 July, chaired by His Excellency Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States and Chairman of the Fund’s Board of Directors. He noted the vast interest of the League's Secretary-General in this Arab body.
The Director-General of the Arab Administrative Development Organisation expressed his desire to cooperate with the Fund, which seeks to be active on the African scene despite the challenges it faces.
After reviewing the activities of both organisations, the two sides discussed the possibility of establishing a basis for joint cooperation under the umbrella of the League of Arab States.
At the end of the meeting, the Assistant Secretary-General of the League of Arab States thanked the Director-General of the Arab Administrative Development Organisation for the warm reception and invited him to visit the Fund headquarters.
