His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Khalid bin Mohamed Manzalawi, Assistant Secretary-General and head of the International Political Affairs Sector, met with His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Ali Darwish, head of the Office of the Permanent Delegation of the African Union Commission to the League of Arab States in Cairo on 16 April at the headquarters of the General Secretariat. The meeting discussed the latest developments on the African and Arab fronts, particularly those of mutual interest.
The two sides also explored prospects for strengthening Arab-African cooperation across economic, social, and cultural domains. They exchanged views on future frameworks for advancing joint cooperation and reviewed preparations for a number of upcoming joint Arab-African events, including the commemoration of Africa Day, observed annually on 25 May.
