  • Head of Administrative and Financial Affairs Sector and Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs, Director of Egyptian Institute of Diplomatic Studies, inaugurate training programme for newly appointed diplomats

    ​In fulfillment of the cooperation agreement between the League of Arab States and the Institute of Diplomatic Studies of the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the field of capacity building and training, the Institute organised a specialised training programme for newly appointed staff members on 13 April.

    The opening session was inaugurated by His Excellency Ambassador Mohamed Saleh Al-Ajery, Assistant Secretary-General and head of the Administrative and Financial Affairs Sector, alongside His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Yasser Alawi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director of the Egyptian Institute of Diplomatic Studies. Both dignitaries stressed the critical importance of expanding such training programmes and affirmed the necessity of continuous professional development to equip diplomatic personnel with the competencies required for effective representation in regional and international arenas. Ambassador Al-Ajery further added that it is the responsibility of every Arab diplomat, within their respective roles, to safeguard and uphold the collective achievements of the Arab nation.

    The training programme features a series of lectures delivered by ambassadors and subject matter experts, covering a range of pivotal topics including diplomatic protocol and ceremonial procedures, principles of diplomatic conduct, a comprehensive overview of the Arab regional landscape, and the multifaceted challenges confronting the Arab world today.
