Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, vehemently condemned the Israeli occupation’s raids and attacks on Syrian territory in the past few hours, describing them as a reckless provocation and a dangerous escalation aimed at exploiting Syria’s political transition to impose an illegal and illegitimate reality.
Gamal Roshdy, the official spokesman for the Secretary-General, conveyed Mr. Aboul Gheit’s assertion that any Israeli occupation of Syrian land constitutes a flagrant violation of international law. He further stressed that the international community must take a firm stance in condemning this unjustified aggression, which seeks to inflame tensions in the region and obstruct Syria’s path towards political stability.
The official spokesman reaffirmed the League of Arab States’ full solidarity with the Syrian Arab Republic in confronting Israeli aggression, denouncing Israel’s blatant attempts to sow discord and undermine Syria’s sovereignty.
