  • Arab Fund for Technical Assistance to African Countries organises two training courses at King Faisal University

    The Arab Fund for Technical Assistance to African Countries inaugurated two specialised training courses at King Faisal University in N'Djamena, under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Tom Erdmi, Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research, and Vocational Training in the Republic of Chad. Ambassador Mohannad Saleh Lajouzi, Assistant Secretary-General and Director-General of the Fund, announced that these courses, launched on 20 January, focus on Total Quality Management in Higher Education Institutions and Digital Education. They are designed to benefit administrators and faculty members of the university.
    The opening ceremony, held under the auspices of Dr. Tom Erdmi, was overseen by His Excellency Dr. Nourine Suleiman Nourine, Deputy Secretary-General of the Ministry of Higher Education, representing the Minister. It was attended by Professor Mohamed Bukhari, President of King Faisal University, alongside ambassadors, representatives of regional and international organisations, and university directors.
    In his address, Professor Mohamed Bukhari highlighted the enduring partnership between King Faisal University and the Arab Fund for Technical Assistance to African Countries, a collaboration that has flourished since the university's establishment in the 1990s. He noted that over seventy training programmes in diverse fields have been successfully conducted through this partnership, funded by the Arab Fund. The university president emphasised the Fund’s core mission of fostering economic and scientific development in African nations and extended his gratitude to Dr. Tom Erdmi for his patronage of the event.
    Dr. Nourine Suleiman Nourine, speaking on behalf of the Minister, underlined the pivotal role of such training initiatives in enhancing the skills and capabilities of faculty and administrative staff in higher education. He expressed deep appreciation to the Arab Fund and the League of Arab States for their sustained support of Chad’s educational institutions, particularly King Faisal University, reinforcing the institution’s commitment to excellence and innovation.
