    Date: 24/06/2024

The General Secretariat’s Media and Communication Sector (Research and Strategic Studies Department), in cooperation with the Tahrir Centre for Studies and Research, is organising a specialised workshop on “China-Arab States Cooperation Forum: 20 Years of Giving and Cooperation.” The event will be held on Monday, 24 June at 10:00 AM at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States.

The scientific workshop is based on the achievements of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum over its 20-year history. It aims to monitor the most prominent challenges scientifically, benefit from these insights, and build a forward-looking vision to enhance joint cooperation for the mutual benefit of both sides.
The workshop will provide a platform for dialogue among experts, specialists, and decision-makers to highlight the forum's accomplishments and challenges. Participants will draw lessons from past experiences and identify key areas for intensified cooperation in the future. Discussions will focus on enhancing collaboration across various fields, predicting future challenges, and developing scenarios for addressing them.
The workshop aims to foster intellectual convergence and shared concepts among Arab and Chinese experts, researchers, and officials. By working together to create a joint forward-looking vision, the goal is to meet the ambitions of both sides and fully exploit their rich potential in all areas of cooperation.
The workshop will address three main axes: political and economic activities; technological, educational, and intellectual activities; and cultural, media, and tourism activities.
Participants are expected to include research and studies entities from Arab countries, permanent delegations of member states to the League of Arab States, specialised intellectual and academic figures, and experts in international law, political science, economics, and sociology. Additionally, think tanks and strategic studies centres and organisations from Arab countries will join the workshop to follow and contribute to the activities of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum.
