Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States,
vehemently condemned the attack carried out by the Sudanese Rapid
Support Forces on 5 June 2024, targeting the Wad Al-Noura area in
Al-Jazeera State, central Sudan. This heinous act resulted in the tragic
loss of over a hundred civilians.
The Secretary-General extended his heartfelt condolences to the families
of the victims of this massacre and expressed his earnest wishes for a
swift recovery for the injured.
The Secretary-General reiterated the League’s unwavering support for the
efforts aimed at halting the ongoing conflict in Sudan and restoring
the role of the Sudanese state across all spheres.
