The Executive Committee of the Unified Arab Strategy for the Recovery of Stolen, Looted and Confiscated Arab Archives of Colonial and Foreign Countries held its fourth meeting. The committee was approved by the Council of the League of Arab States at the ministerial level in 2016.
The meeting was attended by members of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States, the Arab Organisation for Education, Culture and Science, and the Executive Office for the Arab regional branch of the International Council on Archives, in addition to members from Tunisia, Algeria, Sudan, Palestine, Iraq, Libya and Morocco.
The meeting was held to follow up on the implementation of the strategic axes and agree to organise a scientific symposium in joint cooperation in March 2023 to host the Egyptian National Documentation House to benefit from the expertise of Arab researchers in this field.
