Annual Plan of Action of the Arab Human Rights Committee Date: 21/06/2014 With the passage of nearly seven years since the Arab Human Rights Committee (the Charter Committee) began its work, the need for a comprehensive plan of action to implement the objectives of the Arab Charter for Human Rights and the implementation of its provisions has become necessary. Evidence indicates that the Committee's work will increase in the coming years with the increase in the number of States parties to the ratification of the Charter, which reached 14 Arab countries out of the 22 Arab countries that are members of the League of Arab States. The result is an increase in the number of initial and periodic reports Submitted to the Committee, thus placing great responsibilities and pressures on the Commission at the technical, technical and administrative levels as the workload increases.
