    Objectives

    The Council of Arab Ministers Concerned with Meteorology and Climate Affairs aims to bolster Arab collaboration in the domain of weather and climate by proactively pursuing the following objectives:

    - Harmonising with the dynamic progressions in weather and climate science and operationalising them across a multiplicity of domains encompassing life, economy, and development.

    - Keeping pace with the global technological breakthroughs in the processing and dissemination of weather and climate-related data.

    - Accentuating the distinctive scientific and technical prowess of national meteorological facilities and their overarching contribution to the economies of Arab nations, particularly by providing timely warnings of inclement weather and all other requisite services to safeguard human life and property.

      • Fostering scientific research and training in different facets of meteorology and its manifold applications, including aviation, agriculture, marine forecasting, environment, water, and other relevant fields.

        - Addressing common challenges to optimise weather forecasting services that align with contemporary standards and meet national, regional, and international obligations.


        - Amplifying public consciousness of the pivotal role played by meteorological facilities across economic and social strata, and urging Arab media, educational institutions, and research centres to intensify their efforts to propagate knowledge of weather and climate science through their programmes, emphasising the intimate interconnection between meteorological services and developmental objectives.

    - Formulating a futuristic Arab mechanism to deliberate and make high-level decisions within the ambit of Arab interests
