04/10/2015 The League of Arab States (LAS) renews its full commitment towards the Arab child’s issues. This is on the occasion of the Arab Child Day that is marked by the 1st of October. It comes as an implementation to the recommendations of the 20th session of Arab Childhood Committee. The year 2015 is dedicated under the title of “The Palestinian Child”. On this special day, LAS stresses on its obligation towards the Arab child issues, consolidation of his rights and protecting him from all forms of violence during peace, conflicts and after conflicts. In particular, the children living under armed conflicts conditions and those who suffer the scourge of wars in Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Libya and Somalia. Also, the Palestinian children who were victims of the latest Israeli military aggression on Palestinians. It is to be considered as a genocide for Palestinian children amid an international inability to curb the Israeli military machine that reaped hundreds of Palestinian children within less than a month, in August 2014. LAS emphasizes the necessity of the relentless pursuit to protect the Palestinian children under Israeli occupation from its criminal acts against them. The violence of those acts is up to a level of ending the future, and even, existence of those children. This cannot be accepted by our conscience and humanity. |
