Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, strongly condemned the attack on the residence of the UAE Ambassador in Khartoum, as well as any assault on diplomatic buildings and personnel, in clear violation of international conventions and agreements.
The Secretary-General welcomed the statement issued by the Sudanese Armed Forces, affirming their commitment to providing full protection to all embassies and diplomatic staff in accordance with the established norms and protocols governing diplomatic work.
Mr. Aboul Gheit reiterated the pressing need for enhanced coordination of international and regional efforts aimed at halting the war and ending the bloodshed in Sudan. He further emphasised the importance of safeguarding Sudan's unity, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the stability of its national institutions.
