Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, conveyed a message of congratulations on 9 September to His Excellency President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, on the occasion of the Algerian people’s renewed confidence in his leadership through his re-election for a second term as President of the Republic. The Secretary-General reaffirmed the League of Arab States’ steadfast support for Algeria's development efforts and for all endeavours that align with the aspirations of the Algerian people.
Counsellor Gamal Roshdy, the spokesperson for the Secretary-General, highlighted that in his letter, Mr. Aboul Gheit commended the vital role Algerian diplomacy continues to play in championing Arab causes, particularly the Palestinian cause, in international forums. This has been especially evident during Algeria's current tenure on the United Nations Security Council. The Secretary-General also extended his best wishes to President Tebboune for continued success in steering Algeria's journey towards further development and progress.
