The Arab Electricity Experts Committee convened its 15th meeting at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States on 25 September under the chairmanship of His Excellency Eng. Issa Al-Kuwari, Chairman of the Qatar Electricity and Water Corporation (KAHRAMAA). In his opening remarks, Al-Kuwari welcomed the participants and emphasised the significance of the meeting as a preparatory step for the 15th session of the Arab Ministerial Council for Electricity.
Ms. Jamila Matar, Director of the Energy Department, noted that the meeting addressed key topics, including the progress of the two Arab Common Market agreements and the ongoing preparations by the Council Secretariat for their signing during the upcoming Council session. The agenda also covered various other issues, such as specialised exhibitions, the peaceful uses of nuclear energy, and Arab-Chinese cooperation in the energy sector. The Committee made appropriate recommendations on these matters.
